Elementary
Elementary Students may participate in a 1st -2nd grade class, 3rd- 4th grade class, or a 5th - 6th grade class. Each level studies History, Science, Music, Art, Literature and PE. The 5th and 6th grade class will also study grammar using Shurley English.
For the 2011-2012 school year, this class will be using Story of the World - Volume I for History and Apologia Young Explorer Astronomy for Science. Students participate in Literature, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Art instruction will be provided by Jessica Grayof Grayworks Art. All the classes for this group are enrichment classes. No grades or homework are given in this class.
3rd- 4th Grade Class
For the 2011-2012 school year, this class will be using Story of the World - Volume III, Apologia Young Explorer Series - Botany, and Shurley English Level 4. Students participate in Literature, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Art instruction will be provided by Jessica Grayof Grayworks Art. All the classes for this group are enrichment classes. No grades or homework are given in this class.
5th - 6th Grade Class
For the 2011-2012 school year, this class will be using BJUP American History for 5th grade and Apologia's Young Explorer Series Land Animals. English Class will use Shurley English Level 5. Literature selections will be announced in class. Students may participate in physical education, art, and music. Art instruction will be provided by Jessica Gray of Grayworks Art. Music instruction will focus on learning the recorder. Homework will be assigned and grades will be given for History, English, and Science in this class.
